The Bear Cub's First Winter Sleep

The first snowflake of the year landed softly on Bruno's nose. Bruno was a little brown bear cub, and this was his very first winter. The forest was turning white, and the wind was getting chilly. Mama Bear led him to a cozy cave behind the waterfall, where dry leaves made the softest bed in the world.

A Warm Cave

Mama Bear's Winter Plan

Mama Bear sang a low, rumbly song that sounded like faraway thunder, but in the coziest way. Bruno's tummy was full of berries, his fur was warm, and his mama's heartbeat thumped softly beside his ear. He felt safe and loved, and his worries melted away like morning frost.

Mama Bear licked his ear softly. When you sleep, she whispered, you will dream of honey and sunshine. Your tummy is full, your fur is thick, and I will be right here, keeping you warm all winter long.

Bruno's breathing slowed. His paws twitched as he dreamed of chasing snowflakes. Outside the cave, the snow kept falling, soft and silent. But inside, everything was warm, dark, and safe.

Spring Will Wake Us

As Bruno drifted into his long winter dream, Mama Bear whispered, When the snow melts and the flowers bloom, we will wake up together for spring. Bruno smiled in his sleep. He dreamed of honey pots and sunny meadows, snuggled tight in the warmest hug in the world.
